Cookie Policy

This site deliberately uses very few cookies. There is no advertising, there are no social media buttons tracking your browsing, and we do not share your activity with advertising networks. The inventory below is complete: there is nothing that is not declared here.
This policy complements our Privacy Policy and should be read alongside it.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser to remember information between visits or between pages. Alongside cookies there are other local storage technologies, such as localStorage, which serve a similar purpose but whose contents are never sent to the server automatically.
This site uses both. The distinction matters: what we keep in localStorage stays entirely on your device and does not travel with every request.
2. Categories we use
We classify what we store in your browser into two categories, and only one of them requires your consent:
- Technical or strictly necessary: essential for the site to work, to protect the contact form against spam, or to remember a preference you expressed yourself. These are exempt from consent under applicable law, but we declare them anyway for transparency.
- Analytics: these let us understand in aggregate how the site is used so we can improve it. They require your prior, express and informed consent. Until you give it, nothing is installed and no measurement script is loaded.

4. Consent: how we ask for it and how we honour it
On your first visit you will see a notice with two equally prominent options: accept analytics, or continue without them. No box is pre-ticked, no option is hidden behind extra layers, and continuing to browse without clicking anything does not count as acceptance.
Until you choose, measurement stays effectively disabled: no third-party script is downloaded and no analytics cookie is set. We use the analytics provider’s consent mode, configured to a denied state by default.
The form’s anti-spam check (reCAPTCHA) does not depend on this notice: it is technical, because it protects the form, and it only loads once you start using it. Visitors who only read the site never download it. If you would rather not use it, you can write to us directly at info@code-studios.com.
5. How to change or withdraw your decision
You can change your mind at any time and at no cost. Withdrawing consent is as easy as granting it:
- Clear the site data for code-studios.com from your browser settings. You will be asked again on your next visit.
- Write to us at info@code-studios.com and we will process your request.
- Configure your browser to block third-party cookies generally. The site will continue to work normally.
6. Managing cookies from your browser
Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies from its settings. Bear in mind that blocking all cookies may affect how other websites work, though not this one.

7. International transfers
Analytics cookies and the form’s anti-spam check are managed by Google LLC, a company domiciled in the United States. If you consent to analytics, or when you use the contact form, the associated data is transferred outside Ecuador.
This transfer relies on the adequate safeguards provided for in article 60 of the LOPDP, including the Standard Contractual Clauses entered into with the provider. If you would rather your data did not leave the country, simply decline analytics and write to us by email instead of using the form.
8. What we do not do
For the avoidance of doubt, here is what this site does not do:
- We do not use advertising or ad-personalisation cookies.
- We do not embed social media tracking pixels.
- We do not build behavioural profiles. The only automated decision is the form’s anti-spam check, described in section 3.
- We do not share your browsing activity with advertising networks or data brokers.
- We do not use device identification techniques for tracking or advertising.
9. Changes to this policy
If we introduce a new tool that stores information in your browser, we will update the table in section 3 before putting it into service and, where that tool requires consent, we will ask you for it again.
